CEDAR HOUSE
Our Cedar home provides a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for children and young people. The home is founded on Barclay’s values of nurture, stability and growth, odering young people the security and encouragement needed to develop confidence, resilience and a positive sense of identity.
The property accommodates up to six young people across six spacious bedrooms, each designed to promote comfort, privacy and personalisation. Children are encouraged to decorate their rooms in ways that reflect their individuality, preferences and cultural heritage, helping to build a strong sense of belonging.
The home features multiple shared areas including a large open-plan kitchen, dining and family room, therapy room, recreation/play space, quiet lounge, and a study/creative area. These spaces are used flexibly for daily routines, therapeutic sessions, cultural celebrations and group activities that encourage cooperation, creativity and emotional growth.
Situated along in Southall, the home benefits from Southall’s vibrant and diverse community — an area well known for its rich multicultural identity, community spirit and inclusive atmosphere. The proximity to Southall Broadway allows young people to experience a range of cultural foods, shops, faith centres and community events, helping them develop social awareness, respect and appreciation for diversity.
Local facilities such as Recreation Ground, the Grand Union Canal, and Southall Station (Elizabeth Line) provide easy access to outdoor recreation and central London opportunities.
A spacious enclosed garden at the rear oders room for outdoor play, gardening and group activities that foster wellbeing and teamwork. Regular Location Risk Assessments are completed by the Registered Manager, ensuring the home remains safe and well-integrated within its community.
Through consistent support, inclusive practice and a focus on personal development, Cedar provides a nurturing environment where young people can feel valued, connected and empowered to flourish.
